An annual winter event with more than 75 years of history, the 76th Sapporo Snow Festival, will be held at Odori, Susukino, and Tsudome.

At the Odori site (Nishi 1 to 11-chome), be amazed by the colossal snow statues! This year’s highlights are “Hokkaido University Furukawa Auditorium” (7-chome), “Aizu Tsuruga Castle” (8-chome), and “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” (10-chome).
In addition to these snow statues, many kinds of small snow statues created by citizens can be enjoyed at 2-chome and 9-chome.
At 11-chome, teams from Mongolia, Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries compete on carving skills in an international snow sculpture contest.
Warm yourself by trying the footbath (1-chome) and the stalls offering local foods.

At the Susukino site (Ekimae-dori from Minami 4 to 6-jo), elaborate ice sculptures will fascinate you.

The Tsudome site (Higashi-ku, Sakaemachi, 885-1) offers a snow adventures for families. Dress warmly and experience a globally famous world of snow and ice.
