Dance with naruko castanets to the rhythmical Soranbushi music. It’s the simple rule of the Yosakoi Soran. The 35th Yosakoi Soran Festival will be held from in Sapporo. Feel the enthusiasm of the dancers wearing flashy makeup and a flamboyant costume.
Each Yosakoi team performs at some of 17 venues, which includes Odori Park and Docho Akarenga Hiroba (Chuo-ku, Kita 3, Nishi 6) during the period. From 7 p.m. on June 13 (Sat.), the winning teams of past years will appear in the Saturday Night Parade at the Odori Nishi 5 to 7-chome.
At the Final Stage (Nishi 8-chome) on June 14 (Sun.), the team that most thrills the spectators will be judged as the winner. Watch the powerful dancing close up, and feel the excitement.
At the Odori Nishi 5 to 8-chome, tickets are sold in advance to those who want to see the dance from a better position.
