August Festival

Date: July 31 - Aug. 1

The 10th and final Sapporo August Festival (Hachigatsu-sai) will be held at Kita 3-jo Plaza, Akapla (Chuo-ku, Kita 3, Nishi 4). Its symbol Oburoshiki, a huge patchwork quilt made by volunteers, will be laid out on the ground throughout the festival. Join in Bon dances with live music played by the August Festival Special Big Band.

Date: July 31 (Fri.) 3–9 p.m. and Aug.  1 (Sat.) noon–8 p.m. Adm.: free.
